Therapy Services for Individuals, Couples, and Groups

Services

Our practice offers psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and groups, including specialized work with OCD and related difficulties. With an approach that is relational and collaborative, our work can support both practical change and deeper understanding of the patterns that influence how people think, feel, and connect. The practices offers both in-person and telehealth options.

  • Individual therapy begins with an initial intake, where we take time to understand what’s bringing you in, your history, and what you’re hoping to work toward. Ongoing sessions provide space to explore current concerns, patterns, and relationships, supporting both practical change and deeper self-understanding over time.

  • Couples therapy provides a supportive space to work through difficulties and to strengthen communication and emotional connection. Some couples come to address specific concerns, while others come to better understand one another, improve how they communicate, and invest intentionally in their relationship.

  • Interpersonal Process Group therapy focuses on understanding patterns of connection, communication, and emotion through real-time interaction with others. In a facilitated group setting, members gain insight through shared experience, reflection, and feedback, supporting growth that extends beyond the group itself.

  • An OCD diagnostic consultation involves one or more sessions focused on carefully understanding your symptoms, history, and current concerns through an obsessive-compulsive lens. This process emphasizes identifying the presence of obsessions, compulsions (including mental or less visible rituals), and distinguishing OCD from overlapping or commonly misdiagnosed conditions such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related disorders. It may include structured questionnaires, in-depth clinical discussion, and, when helpful and with your permission, collaboration with other professionals involved in your care. The goal is to provide diagnostic clarity and ensure treatment is accurately aligned with the underlying condition, particularly in complex or unclear presentations.

  • I provide consultation and clinical supervision for mental health professionals seeking to deepen their clinical skills, enhance case conceptualization, and navigate complex client presentations. Supervision is tailored to your level of experience and integrates evidence-based practice, ethical decision-making, and reflective processing. Whether you are working toward licensure or looking to refine your clinical approach, sessions offer a structured, supportive space to build competence, confidence, and professional identity.

About the practice

My practice offers psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and groups, with a focus on thoughtful, relational work that supports meaningful and lasting change. I work with adults facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, OCD, relationship difficulties, and longstanding patterns that feel hard to shift. Treatment is collaborative and grounded, attending both to present-day challenges and to the deeper emotional and relational dynamics that shape how people experience themselves and others.

Group therapy is a central part of the practice, particularly Interpersonal Process Groups, which provide a powerful setting to explore patterns of connection, communication, and emotion as they unfold in real time. I believe that meaningful change often occurs through relationship, reflection, and sustained engagement over time.

In addition to therapy, the practice offers psychological evaluation and diagnostic assessment when clarity is needed to guide treatment or coordinate care with other providers.

The practice also includes Andrea Tomaino, MHC, LP, a licensed mental health counselor who works with adults and brings a thoughtful, compassionate approach to psychotherapy. Together, we are committed to providing care that is respectful, attuned, and responsive to each person’s unique needs.
